Four Harness Weaving

This is a beginning weaving class that introduces students to the wonderful art of pattern weaving. This class includes: use of a four or eight shaft loom and a warping board for the duration of the class, and instruction manual. Students will learn how to calculate the amount of thread needed for a project, use a warping board, threading the loom, getting perfect tension, and weaving multiple patterns on one warp, and much more. Each student will make either a decorative tea towel or table runner.

Students need to bring a three-ring notebook, calculator, pens and pencils. Students may either purchase their yarn/thread ahead of time or at the first class. You will need a 2 1 lb cones of pure cotton one of a natural white or cream, and one of a darker contrast color. Thread weight should be approximately 8/2 in weight. Thread may be purchased from the instructor and will be $10 per 1 lb cone.

Classes are held at the Instructor's home. After registering, you will be contacted by the instructor to give you her address and answer any questions.
